We've began a process of trying to determine if our situations and Audrey's, "Jaded", display any manipulating relationship signs. We're introduced 5 manipulating relationship signs which are as follows:
Lying
Displays of Weakness
Causes Constant Disagreement
Encourages Social Isolation
They are Never Wrong
Our first activity will be to focus on one of the signs and that is how to stop lying and manipulation. The immediate thing that needs to be realized is that it can not be stopped. It is a lying manipulative disorder. These people rarely change.
Instead of trying to change other people's actions, it's best to do what you do best and that is control you. With that being said, we will focus on instead giving examples of lying manipulating relationship signs. If those signs are identified, it's best to distance yourself from the person in question.
Signs that a person is lying:
EXCESSIVE EXPLANATIONS:
They are very descriptive and long winded in circumstances when it is simply uncalled for. By talking so much, they are hoping to appear informative so that you'll believe whatever they say.
DEEP EYE CONTACT:
A lying person will stare you straight in the eye as they talk. This actually isn't common during a conversation. Normal people glance around, check their phones etc as they carry on a conversation. Only a lying person will stare deep into your eyes. It is a way to capture your soul hook and sinker.
DISCUSS PERSONAL BUSINESS:
They'll discuss your personal business. You'll find something being discussed about you that simply isn't true. Once or twice is one thing, but when it happens constantly, it is being done to get a rise out of you.
THEY INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
It isn't normal for a person to want you to list out who you are friends with. When this happens, the lying person is making sure they aren't found out. Once they know who your friends are, they'll make sure to lie to you about people you don't speak with or lie on you to people that you don't speak with.
People think that they are slick. But, use these signs to find them out.
